Watching a movie in french is a great way to practise french while having fun and also a nice way to know a bit more about french culture.

Synopsis: In 1112, the Count of Montmirail and his faithful helper Jaquouille go forward in time to the year 1992 after drinking a magic potion concocted by the spellbinding Eusaebius, thus subjecting themselves to a terrible fate.
- Le Dîner de cons/The Dinner Game, by Francis Veber, 1997.
Synopsis: Every Wednesday, Pierre Brochant and his friends organise a dinner where each person has to bring along an idiot. The one with the most stupid guest is the winner. This evening Brochant is excited, convinced that he has found a rare jem with his guest, a world class imbecile: Francois Pignon, an accountant for the Ministry of Finance with a passion for matchstick models. What Brochant fails to remember is that catastrophe follows Pignon wherever he goes.

Synopsis: Daniel is a boy racer. This former pizza delivery boy is now a taxi driver and an expert at avoiding speed controls. However, one day he crosses the path of Emilien, a policeman who has threatened to take away his licence no fewer than eight times. To keep his taxi, he must agree to Emilien's proposition: help capture a group of bank robbers who tear down the city streets on powerful vehicles. Synopsis: Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt, decides to build a huge, sumptuous palace in the middle of the desert for Julius Caesar, the head of the Roman Empire, to prove the supremacy of her society over his own. If she completes the task within three months, Caesar has to admit in public that the Egyptians are the greatest of all the people in the world.
Cleopatra calls upon the help of Edifis, an enthusiastic, energetic architecht, to help her secure victory. If successful he will be covered in gold, but if not, his fate will be in the hands of hungry crocodiles. Edifis, aware of the great cost of defeat, enlists the help of his old friend Panoramix, the Druid, who travels to Egypt under the protection of Aterix and Obelix.
However, things aren't going to be so simple. Not only does Caesar intervene to avoid public humiliation, but when Cleopatra's official architecht Amonbofis gets wind of the fact that Edifis has been chosen in favour of him to complete the task, he will do whatever it takes to foil his competitor.
